1. Bright Color.
Using bright colors with everything from backgrounds to images to UI elements was definitely one of the most popular graphic design things in 2018.
Projects with vivid color paintings were dominant in site projects and redesigned in addition to printed campaigns and their components. Many of these colors are inspired by the multi-grade design panels, which feature bright and clear colours such as blue, purple and pink.
The most prominent material in which color is clearly shown is the design of products and covers that are transmitted to other elements such as web design. Rxbar above, a clear practical example of this trend. Each color is characteristically used and the harmony is integrated between the design of the cover and the site.
But this is not the only application for the design direction of bright colors. Designers use more rainbow-inspired color palettes that violate the rule of using only two or three colors for design. Paintings with lots of bright colors in shapes or prints were very popular this year.
2. Elements of 3d static life
Designers seem to want to do three-dimensional design projects. This appears in the use of gradient elements and the representation of life in elements and shapes in a 3d area – whether real or created.
This concept creates a very attractive and representative palette of product placements and shows how it may seem or feel something in real life. These designs are often more complex, although they may not look the same from the first view, and may contain real or created forms.
This trend in design shows the embodiment of the designer’s imagination.
Gradients Everywhere – wallpapers, cover for pictures and videos, inside images, and the list goes on.
The color was an important thing in the 2018 and the gradients were a large part of this movement. The same bright colors that were common on their own are also common options in gradients. But not all popular gradients are bold and bright, some more accurate in quiet tones. Can be used with real items or drawings and typographical materials.
4. Minimum mobility
The huge lists were causing anger years ago, so there became a shift to fewer or even hidden navigation elements. This is inspired by mobile phones (where most users watch websites there) to create a more open display panel and simplify user experiences.
While there are pros and cons to the lack of mobility elements, the graphic design certainly benefits from the empty space and gives more creative options to hide the “annoying” navigation elements.
The above two examples do this in different ways. Blab uses the Create List box button at the bottom left of the screen. Le Mordue does not display navigation items on the home screen, which automatically appears when users pass.
5. Photo Cover
Photo Cover is one of the most tolerant design techniques that still continues to be popular.
A good photo cover can make text colors easier to read, hide defects in an image, or provide a more interesting pivot point with colors or gradients. A colorful cover is a way to transform a general image into something that is also related to brand identity.
In addition to the simple colored lid, more projects have been used as a whole layer, such as berserk (above), which contains a color cover on the image and another movable cover simulates the movement of the mouse.
